School paths promote safer, more welcoming and educational routes from home to school and back from school to home for students and without the need for adult accompaniment. The experience of the municipality of Cerdanyola del Vallès is led by students in grades 4, 5 and 6 from three schools of Early Childhood and Primary Education and shows the importance of the involvement of different agents and actors in the municipality for its success. There, the school roads have generated educational opportunities, facilitating autonomous mobility, improving the relationship with the environment, developing healthy habits and transforming areas of the municipality to benefit the rights of children and the common good.
